Sweet Tart Fizzy Bath Bombs (With Kit)

 

Use your favorite STEMful Beauty DIY Cosmetic Chemistry Bath Bomb Kit to create a fizzy bath bomb that releases luxurious fragrance and moisturizing sunflower oil as it bubbles away in your bath tub. Watch the video to learn what causes the blast of effervescent, fizzy bubbles. Have fun!

TOOLS:

  • 1 x STEMful Beauty DIY Cosmetic Chemistry Bath Bomb Kit (includes pre-measured Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, Colored Corn Starch, Oil Blend, gloves, and instructions)

  • Mini Tart Pans (affiliate link*)

RECOMMENDED:

  • Bowl

  • Spatula or Spoon

  • Apron or Lab Coat

  • Safety Glasses

  • Rubbing Alcohol in a Spray Bottle

PROCEDURE:

Step 1: Choose your favorite DIY Cosmetic Chemistry Bath Bomb Kit: Citrus Burst, Unwind Your Mind, Mystic Springs, or Salty Sea Breeze.

Step 2: Make the bath bomb mixture according to the instructions included in the kit.

Step 3: Press the powder into the tart pan mold and spritz the top with alcohol if desired.

Step 4: Gently squeeze the sides to loosen from the mold. Turn over to gently release your bath bomb onto a flat surface. Key word is gently or it will look like mine on the right :). Repeat 2 more times with the remaining mixture.

Step 5: Allow to dry for at least two hours and preferably overnight. The longer that it dries, the firmer the bath bomb will become.

How to Use: Add to warm bath water and watch it fizz! Enjoy the invigorating scent and moisturizing properties from the sunflower oil.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), Citric Acid, Corn Starch, Sunflower Oil, Polysorbate 80, Fragrance, Mica

  2. Avoid contact with eyes and skin while formulating. Citric Acid is found in fruit and can be irritating in its powdered form.
